FleetEurope renew sponsorship of Wasps and England rugby union international Joe Simpson

FleetEurope is pleased to announce the renewal of sponsorship of Wasps and England rugby union international, Joe Simpson, for the 2015/16 season.

We have renewed our partnership with scrum-half Simpson, ahead of Wasps’ opening fixture of the new domestic season against Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop in October, the first of the 2015/16 Aviva Premiership campaign. Simpson will also be able to count on FleetEurope’s long-standing support on the continent, when Wasps kick-off their European Champions Cup campaign against Leinster on November 15th.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful tie-up with FleetEurope, which is now into its seventh year, which helped inspire Simpson’s successful 2014/15 campaign for Wasps, as they consolidated sixth in the Premiership standings, with the No.9 winning his 150th cap for the Coventry-based team away to Bath in January.

Simpson scored seven tries for Wasps in 28 appearances in all competitions last season, which saw him included in the BT Dream Team and awarded the Try of the Season for his effort against Exeter.

After injury cruelly cut short his season, in Wasps’ penultimate game, Simpson is fit and firing after a strong pre-season and is ready to help Wasps push up the table with FleetEurope by his side. He marked his return to competitive action in the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s in August, in which the Sydney-born player sparkled with some inspirational plays.

John Yarroll, Chairman and Chief Executive of FleetEurope, said: “FleetEurope is delighted to renew its sponsorship of Joe Simpson and we’re sure that, with our backing, he can navigate Wasps to greater heights in the new season. Continuing to support Joe makes perfect sense as our long-term goals are perfectly aligned; continuing to expand our presence and influence in the UK and beyond.”

Simpson added; “I’m extremely happy to continue my partnership with FleetEurope. Although Wasps have since relocated, I’m very much looking forward to counting on FleetEurope’s ‘local’ support, which will prove invaluable as I prepare for our domestic and European campaign in the coming months.”
