FleetEurope’s De-Risk service wins Innovation in Rental award at the Fleet World Honours 2018FleetEurope
FleetEurope, a leading independent vehicle management solutions provider, has secured its first major fleet award of the year after winning the Innovation in Rental award at the Fleet World Honours 2018.
The Fleet World Honours is one of the most prestigious events in the fleet industry, recognising organisations from around the world that have demonstrated exceptional levels of innovation, quality and sustainability.
The award came in recognition for FleetEurope’s unique De-Risk Light Damage Cover service, which offers customers financial protection for minor damage to their rental vehicles. The expert panel of Fleet World judges were looking for an innovation that had demonstrably improved FleetEurope’s offering to fleets over the last 12 months.
Alex Grant, editor of Fleet World, said: “Minor damage charges can be a costly, time-consuming issue for fleets regularly using short and medium-term rental. Claimed to be a unique product, De-Risk offers low-cost cover for all repairs under £500, regardless of fault, including misfuelling. Offered across all contract lengths, it’s helping to build trust and cut admin time for customers who have taken it up since it launched last April.”
The coveted trophy was presented by Fleet World’s content editor Jonathan Musk (pictured left) to FleetEurope’s chief commercial officer, Carlos Montero at the RAC Club in London on 13th February 2018, before an audience of senior executives from across the fleet industry.
Montero commented: “We are delighted to have won the prestigious Innovation in Rental award at this year’s Fleet World Honours. We developed De-Risk specifically to address an industry-wide issue that costs businesses thousands of pounds each year in at-fault repair bills and ties up valuable internal resources.
“This award recognises FleetEurope’s commitment to developing innovative solutions for fleet operators that help to reduce their costs, minimise risk and improve the overall efficiency of keeping their staff mobile, all of which is key to the success of their organisation. We’re currently in talks with a leading field sales and marketing agency that stands to save over £20,000 per year by utilising De-Risk.”
FleetEurope has also been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Fleet News Awards, including Outstanding Customer Service and Fleet Supplier of the Year. The winners are due to be revealed at the Fleet News Awards ceremony in London on 14th March 2018.
